To add your
logo or send print-ready art,
please follow the directions below.
Hint: Print
the image out on a laser printer. If it looks bad to you it will look worse when we print.
What works:
-
EPS, PDF or Illustrator
outlined vector art (best for everything,
required for pens and pencils)
-
600 to 1200 dpi tif file
will work on paper and plastic
-
Word file may work
-
Publisher File may work
-
If all else fails, we have
an art service where
we can clean up
your art and make it
ready to print.
-
GIF and JPG files are not
really that clean, but we may be able
to clean them up.

Quick trick:
You may import most files into Word documents simply by
cutting and pasting. IMPORTANT: DO NOT
send a logo in Word if
that is all that is being sent (without text). Send that as its own attachment.
Send as you would any photograph.
You can email
us with any further questions! Hope this helps.
FOR
PENS AND PENCILS: We cannot accept very low resolution files for pens and pencils.
If sending
a TIF file, it should be 1200 dpi, 600 dpi possibly will do.
The best image
would be vector EPS or Illustrator files.
FULL
COLOR BUSINESS CARDS:
Important: For
Magnetic Business Cards the
Border should be 1/8" extra around all four sides.
It is important to follow these steps:
There will be no charge
if art is correctly sent at correct size.
The cards are 3.5" x 2" (standard size)
The bleed should be
3.6" x 2.1" (For magnetic
business cards, extend 1/8" around all four sides)
Art
must be a PC Based tiff file with process colors as CMYK, not RGB.
(RGB is used for a desk top printer, not professional printing)
Ideally, we would prefer Illustrator
or EPS vector Files.
Also: artwork should be no less
than 600 dpi for best quality.
THE FILES MUST
OPEN IN PHOTOSHOP or Illustrator.

The area you will see after printing is the white and the yellow. The red area
on the diagram
is where the excess "bleed" is. We will cut the cards right on the
line between the red and
the yellow. So if you have an image "bleeding" off the card, we need
it to extend into the
red area to allow us ample room to cut. The whole image basically will fill the
whole card
up, the white, yellow and red area, but only the red area will be cut off.
Also, allow room away from the outside edge of the cards even if you are not
bleeding an image
(do not put the text right up against the red/yellow border. Move the text well
inside that area, preferably in the white area only. This will insure that none
of the text is cut off. If the type is
touching the yellow area, it may be cut off when the cards are trimmed after
printing.
Art
must be a PC Based tiff file with process colors as CMYK, not RGB.
If sending Illustrator
files, please save as "outlines" so we
don't have font problems.
We accept
Microsoft Publisher files
now!
Please zip the image if possible to
compress it. Then send art to: artroom
referencing your order number in the subject line.
